Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Food coloring (black, silver, and gold)
- Edible silver and gold sprinkles (optional)
- Chocolate chips or candies for decoration
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract to the creamed mixture, blending well.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Divide the dough into three portions. Tint one with black food coloring, another with silver, and leave the third plain for contrast.
- Shape each portion into claw shapes—long, tapered, and curved to mimic Cheetah’s fierce claws.
- Place the shaped cookies on the prepared baking sheet. Decorate with chocolate chips or candies to resemble fierce claws.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown and crisp.
- Allow the cookies to cool on wire racks before decorating further with edible sprinkles or metallic accents.
Notes
- Ensure the dough is evenly divided for consistent coloring and shaping.
- Decorate the cookies while they are still slightly warm for easier affixing of sprinkles and candies.
- Use a piping bag or plastic bag with a corner cut for more precise claw shaping if desired.
