Ingredients
Scale
- 16 mini hot dogs (cocktail wieners)
- 1 package crescent roll dough
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella
- 2 tablespoons black sesame seeds
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup yellow mustard
- 2 cups popped popcorn
- 1 cup crushed pretzels
- 8 oz cream cheese
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- Olives, sliced for spots
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375F. Slice crescent dough and wrap around hot dogs to form sausage-will shapes. Bake 12-15 minutes until golden.
- Brush melted mozzarella on top to create a spotted effect; sprinkle with black sesame seeds to resemble Dalmatian spots.
- Mix cream cheese with sour cream and a pinch of salt for a creamy dip. Serve with popcorn and pretzel sticks for dipping/scattering.
- Arrange on a platter with olive slices as spots and ketchup/mustard for accent colors.
Notes
- Make-ahead: bake the hot dogs early and assemble spots just before serving.
- For a vegetarian version, use mozzarella rounds and veggie dogs.
