- 6 cups chicken or vegetable stock
- 1/2 pound ground pork
- 1 tablespoon grated ginger
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 shiitake mushrooms, sliced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce or tamari

- 2 green onions, thinly sliced
- Salt and white pepper to taste
Instructions
- Rinse rice until the water runs clear; set aside.
- Bring stock to a simmer; stir in garlic, ginger, and mushrooms.

- Stir in soy sauce, sesame oil, and rice; simmer gently until rice is fully cooked and porridge thickens, about 25-30 minutes.
- Season with salt and white pepper; garnish with green onions before serving.
Notes

- For a spicier version, add a pinch of chili flakes or chili oil.
