- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- 1-2 tbsp ice water
- Pinch salt
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2-3 tbsp heavy cream
- Optional: white chocolate hearts or candy hearts for topping
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, sugar and salt. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add ice water, 1 tablespoon at a time, until dough forms. Chill 30 minutes.
- Roll out dough and cut into rounds; press into mini tart pans. Dock and bake at 350°F (175°C) until edges are set, 12–15 minutes. Cool.
- Beat cream cheese with powdered sugar, vanilla, and cream until smooth and fluffy.
- Pipe or spoon filling into cooled shells. Chill at least 1 hour. Top with white chocolate hearts or candy hearts for decoration.
Notes
- Chill crusts before shaping for a cleaner edge.
- Bring cream cheese to room temperature for a smooth filling.
- Adjust sweetness by varying powdered sugar to taste.
- Serve chilled or at room temperature for best texture.
