  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 1-2 tbsp ice water
  • Pinch salt
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2-3 tbsp heavy cream
  • Optional: white chocolate hearts or candy hearts for topping

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, sugar and salt. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add ice water, 1 tablespoon at a time, until dough forms. Chill 30 minutes.
  2. Roll out dough and cut into rounds; press into mini tart pans. Dock and bake at 350°F (175°C) until edges are set, 12–15 minutes. Cool.
  3. Beat cream cheese with powdered sugar, vanilla, and cream until smooth and fluffy.
  4. Pipe or spoon filling into cooled shells. Chill at least 1 hour. Top with white chocolate hearts or candy hearts for decoration.
