- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup (28 g) unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup (65 g) all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 cup (90 g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup shredded coconut (optional for fur)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8 inch pan with parchment.
- Whisk dry ingredients (cocoa powder, flour, salt, baking powder) in a bowl.
- In a separate bowl, whisk melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients just until mixed; fold in chocolate chips.
- Spread batter in pan and bake 22-28 minutes until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
- Cool completely, then optionally dust with extra cocoa or top with shredded coconut for fur.
Notes
- For extra fudgy brownies, bake toward the shorter end of time range.
- Shredded coconut adds fur texture; use sparingly for contrast.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature up to 3 days.
