Fudgy, chewy brownies inspired by the Fur-rocious Chewbacca, decorated with coconut fur for a playful Star Wars twist. Great for movie nights and fan gatherings.

  • 1 cup (200 g) granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup (28 g) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup (65 g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup (90 g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup (45 g) toasted shredded coconut, for fur topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8 inch baking pan or line with parchment.
  2. Melt butter; whisk in sugar until smooth. Beat in eggs one at a time and add vanilla.
  3. Sift in cocoa powder, then stir in flour, salt, and baking powder until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
  4. <li id="instruction-step-4" Spread batter in prepared pan. Bake 20–25 minutes until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs. Let cool completely.
  5. Optional: sprinkle toasted coconut over top and dust with a little cocoa to mimic Chewbacca fur.
