  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 cup potatoes, diced small
  • 1 cup apples, peeled and diced
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 sheet puff pastry (about 9×9 inches), thawed
  • 1 egg, beaten (egg wash)
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment.
  2. Mix beef, onion, potatoes, apples, Worcestershire, thyme, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Chill 15 minutes for easier handling.
  3. Roll out pastry and cut into squares. Place a generous scoop of filling in the center of each square.
  4. Fold over to form a triangle or rectangle, seal edges, and brush with egg wash. Vent tops with a couple of small slits.
  5. Bake 25-30 minutes until pastry is golden and filling reaches 165°F (74°C).
