- 1 lb beef chuck, finely diced
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 cup potatoes, diced small
- 1 cup apples, peeled and diced
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
- Salt to taste
- 1 sheet puff pastry (about 9×9 inches), thawed
- 1 egg, beaten (egg wash)
- Optional: 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment.
- Mix beef, onion, potatoes, apples, Worcestershire, thyme, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Chill 15 minutes for easier handling.
- Roll out pastry and cut into squares. Place a generous scoop of filling in the center of each square.
- Fold over to form a triangle or rectangle, seal edges, and brush with egg wash. Vent tops with a couple of small slits.
- Bake 25-30 minutes until pastry is golden and filling reaches 165°F (74°C).
Notes
- Chill filling to reduce soggy crust.
- Keep pastry cold for crisp edges.
- Serve warm with a side salad or dipping sauce.
