- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1/2 pound spaghetti
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, garlic, parsley, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
- Form into 1.5-inch meatballs. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and brown meatballs on all sides.
- Add marinara sauce; simmer 10-15 minutes until meatballs are cooked through.
- Meanwhile, cook spaghetti according to package directions until al dente; drain.
- Serve spaghetti topped with meatballs and sauce; garnish with extra Parmesan and parsley.
Notes
- For gluten-free version, use gluten-free breadcrumbs.
- To freeze meatballs, bake and freeze before simmering.
- Use fresh basil for garnish for bright aroma.
